Harris is by far our favourite island, the beaches, mountain climb, walks, swims in the crystal clear sea, great meals and really kind, charming people. Flodabay Cabin was absolutely perfect, a really comfortable sweet cabin, with fully working kitchen, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, (incl tea, coffee, salt & pepper) excellent bathroom / shower, very comfy bed with pop up TV screen! and the most important part.. the stunning views over Flodabay and hot tub. We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather, sunshine to explore and enjoy the views. It rained the last part of our trip and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and get cosy in-between walks. The B&B is a separate business down near the house. The cabin is behind and up the hill with it's own driveway, behind a secure gate, and own land. beautifully remote. 2 lochs a short walk behind the cabin too. We...   We arrived at the chalet after a lovely trip on the ferry. We were met by Tony who couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were then taken up to the... read more chalet and were blown away by how beautiful it was and the view was spectacular. The chalet is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Came across Tony and Sharon's website, and they offered their luxury chalet - they had us at the words 'hot tub'. On arrival Tony met us for a very thorough explanation of where everything was, and how everything worked, including the much anticipated hot tub, and very importantly the TV (Sky channels included) that rises from the bottom of the bed! The place was immaculate, with everything you needed for the stay - hob, oven, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils and the cutest chopping boards imaginable! The chess board based on the famous Lewis chess pieces was another lovely touch. Tony and Sharon were kind enough to include a breakfast pack for my other half's birthday, and he enjoyed a fry up on each of the morning we were there - the venison sausages were out of this world. This was easily the nicest, most luxurious, most awe inspiring place I have ever stayed. The views from the chalet are breathtaking - we enjoyed using the binoculars provided to try and birdwatch. There are two lochs to wander around right near by. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Tony and Sharon are so lovely and welcoming, and so kind to post back a jacket that...   We stayed in the pod, and it is a truly wonderful place to be. Everything is thought through and designed to maximise the location and views. On that, we left... read more the blinds open all night just to watch the Sun set then rise - fantastic. It was good to let the cares of the World drain away and just sit and watch that World pass by. We loved the hot tub. Owners Sharon and Tony couldn't have been more helpful, and it was a genuine pleasure to chat to them. All in all a marvellous stay. Thank you Tony and Sharon, for your help and generosity. More
