It’s a lovely secluded location which is perfect for a getaway. Being able to stargaze in the hot tub really was the icing on the cake.

Tony and Sharon were always on hand to give advice about where to eat , where to kayak or swim. The chalet itself was finished to a high standard and had everything required for a short break. The hot tub was a lovely addition and the perfect place to sit in the evening to relax and take in the beautiful views. This was our first trip to Harris but it certainly wont be our last !   It took some time to get to grips with planning a week's trip to the Outer Hebrides for the first time. Now I feel I know it all and need... read more to return again already. Harris is by far our favourite island, the beaches, mountain climb, walks, swims in the crystal clear sea, great meals and really kind, charming people. Flodabay Cabin was absolutely perfect, a really comfortable sweet cabin, with fully working kitchen, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, (incl tea, coffee, salt & pepper) excellent bathroom / shower, very comfy bed with pop up TV screen! and the most important part.. the stunning views over Flodabay and hot tub. We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather, sunshine to explore and enjoy the views. It rained the last part of our trip and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and get cosy in-between walks. The B&B is a separate business down near the house. The cabin is behind and up the hill with it's own driveway, behind a secure gate, and own land. beautifully remote. 2 lochs a short walk behind the cabin too. We... We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking.

3 nights were never going to be enough so as we
left we booked for next year but for a week this time.
The Seafood Buffet was the best we have ever had and
the home made Oatcakes were amazing.
See you next July guys.
Butty Bus-
This plaice sells the best Fish and Chips at a price
which we at first thought it was a mistake but it was
correct! WOW! The proper filter coffee was a nice change
from the usual instant. But most of all the friendly service
even though this place was so busy made it a real pleasure to
eat out here! We will be back!

  Having had to cancel in 2020 and again in 2021 Tony the owner has been fantastic letting us know he was unable to open in may due to on going... read more upgrades and new pod and hot tube also new electrics. He arranged other sites for us, we really like the flodabay site with the seals in the bay and the otters on the land I can highly recommend flodabay when Tony opens in the next month or so please contact Tony you won't be disappointed. Tony also arranged fitting of a new mirror on our vehicle. You won't meet a nicer host hope to be back next year to see the finished upgrades goodluck to Tony, Sharon and family please book places like this are hard to find these days Thanks Lee, fiona and Charlotte
