3 nights were never going to be enough so as we
left we booked for next year but for a week this time.
The Seafood Buffet was the best we have ever had and
the home made Oatcakes were amazing.
See you next July guys.
Butty Bus-
This plaice sells the best Fish and Chips at a price
which we at first thought it was a mistake but it was
correct! WOW! The proper filter coffee was a nice change
from the usual instant. But most of all the friendly service
even though this place was so busy made it a real pleasure to
eat out here! We will be back!

  It took some time to get to grips with planning a week's trip to the Outer Hebrides for the first time. Now I feel I know it all and need... read more to return again already. Harris is by far our favourite island, the beaches, mountain climb, walks, swims in the crystal clear sea, great meals and really kind, charming people. Flodabay Cabin was absolutely perfect, a really comfortable sweet cabin, with fully working kitchen, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, (incl tea, coffee, salt & pepper) excellent bathroom / shower, very comfy bed with pop up TV screen! and the most important part.. the stunning views over Flodabay and hot tub. We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather, sunshine to explore and enjoy the views. It rained the last part of our trip and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and get cosy in-between walks. The B&B is a separate business down near the house. The cabin is behind and up the hill with it's own driveway, behind a secure gate, and own land. beautifully remote. 2 lochs a short walk behind the cabin too. We...   I stayed at Flodabay for 5 nights and wish I'd stayed longer. I'd been in communication with Tony for well over a year and had to rearrange once because of... read more the pandemic - all communication was prompt and friendly with nothing too much trouble.

The excellent communication continued on the day I travelled and Tony was there to meet me on arrival to show me around. His pride in the cabin and its facilities was obvious and is entirely justified. The cabin is thoughtfully laid out and everything needed for a comfortable stay is there - even including SKY sports on the large TV that rises from the end of the bed!

The surroundings are absolutely beautiful with a number of lochs surrounded by hills that come to life as the light hits them to one side, and the sea to the other side. It's very easy to pass time sitting on the deck, or in the hot tub, with a bottle of the excellent local beer. I can also recommend Tony's venison sausages and wild boar burgers - and another beer.

Did I mention I wish I'd stayed longer? I've booked for 2 weeks next year 🙂 More

It is spotlessly clean, immaculately kept, quality throughout, comfy and... read more cosy. "Everything" you need is there and even thoughtful wee touches like extra towels for the hot tub. The reference book was used often, very helpful and up to date. The hot tub in the evening was "truly wonderful"
Tony, your welcome was so warm and your understanding of our ferry re routing and trying to help whilst we got everything sorted was appreciated.
We'd love to come back again. In the meantime..continue doing what you're doing for your guests and providing your great customer service.

Sitting in the cozy... read more hot tub watching the milkyway for shooting stars was something else! The chalet itself is cozy with plenty space for weekend walking gear and amenities for cooking whatever you fancy! The hosts Sharon and Tony couldn't have been more helpful or friendly during our 3 night stay! Absolutely would return for more Island adventures and little bit of private seclusion far from anyone!
