  It took some time to get to grips with planning a week's trip to the Outer Hebrides for the first time. Now I feel I know it all and need... read more to return again already. Harris is by far our favourite island, the beaches, mountain climb, walks, swims in the crystal clear sea, great meals and really kind, charming people. Flodabay Cabin was absolutely perfect, a really comfortable sweet cabin, with fully working kitchen, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, (incl tea, coffee, salt & pepper) excellent bathroom / shower, very comfy bed with pop up TV screen! and the most important part.. the stunning views over Flodabay and hot tub. We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather, sunshine to explore and enjoy the views. It rained the last part of our trip and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and get cosy in-between walks. The B&B is a separate business down near the house. The cabin is behind and up the hill with it's own driveway, behind a secure gate, and own land. beautifully remote. 2 lochs a short walk behind the cabin too. We... 3 nights were never going to be enough so as we
left we booked for next year but for a week this time.
The Seafood Buffet was the best we have ever had and
the home made Oatcakes were amazing.
See you next July guys.
Butty Bus-
This plaice sells the best Fish and Chips at a price
which we at first thought it was a mistake but it was
correct! WOW! The proper filter coffee was a nice change
from the usual instant. But most of all the friendly service
even though this place was so busy made it a real pleasure to
eat out here! We will be back!

It’s a lovely secluded location which is perfect for a getaway. Being able to stargaze in the hot tub really was the icing on the cake.

  After reading the incredible reviews about the chalet I decided to book it as a surprise for my husbands 50th! I couldn’t have made a better decision, from the moment... read more I first enquired to the minute we waved goodbye our hosts Tony & Sharron just couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect. Incredible communication, advice and suggestions, and the most delicious venison burgers & wild boar sausages (highly recommend ordering these)!
The chalet is the most beautiful, secluded corner of heaven I have ever stayed at, actually no words or photos will do justice to the utterly beautiful setting, I don’t think either of us have felt so relaxed, at peace and switched off in a very long time! The views are breath taking, the silence is indescribable and the location just unbeatable.
The chalet itself is kitted out with everything you might need including plenty of helpful and thoughtful extra touches as well, binoculars which were wonderful for hours of bird watching and seal spotting! They even put a few local beers in the fridge for the birthday boy, so unbelievably thoughtful! The hot tub was just incredible and sitting there looking out to sea at the end of the day was just magical.
I just cannot recommend this place enough, a real opportunity to switch off and reconnect with nature and yourself.
Huge thank you to our hosts and we will be back without a doubt! More

A great place to use as a base as you can get all over the islands with stunning veiws every way you go .

Came across Tony and Sharon's website, and they offered their luxury chalet - they had us at the words 'hot tub'. On arrival Tony met us for a very thorough explanation of where everything was, and how everything worked, including the much anticipated hot tub, and very importantly the TV (Sky channels included) that rises from the bottom of the bed! The place was immaculate, with everything you needed for the stay - hob, oven, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils and the cutest chopping boards imaginable! The chess board based on the famous Lewis chess pieces was another lovely touch. Tony and Sharon were kind enough to include a breakfast pack for my other half's birthday, and he enjoyed a fry up on each of the morning we were there - the venison sausages were out of this world. This was easily the nicest, most luxurious, most awe inspiring place I have ever stayed. The views from the chalet are breathtaking - we enjoyed using the binoculars provided to try and birdwatch.
