  It took some time to get to grips with planning a week's trip to the Outer Hebrides for the first time. Now I feel I know it all and need... read more to return again already. Harris is by far our favourite island, the beaches, mountain climb, walks, swims in the crystal clear sea, great meals and really kind, charming people. Flodabay Cabin was absolutely perfect, a really comfortable sweet cabin, with fully working kitchen, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, (incl tea, coffee, salt & pepper) excellent bathroom / shower, very comfy bed with pop up TV screen! and the most important part.. the stunning views over Flodabay and hot tub. We would never book somewhere for the hot tub but here we used it every day, easy to use (uncover and step in) and we were able to enjoy those stunning views, even at night to enjoy gazing at the milky way, and also in the day to watch golden eagles soaring over head. Breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather, sunshine to explore and enjoy the views. It rained the last part of our trip and the cabin was the perfect place to rest, and get cosy in-between walks. The B&B is a separate business down near the house. The cabin is behind and up the hill with it's own driveway, behind a secure gate, and own land. beautifully remote. 2 lochs a short walk behind the cabin too. We...   Having had to cancel in 2020 and again in 2021 Tony the owner has been fantastic letting us know he was unable to open in may due to on going... read more upgrades and new pod and hot tube also new electrics. He arranged other sites for us, we really like the flodabay site with the seals in the bay and the otters on the land I can highly recommend flodabay when Tony opens in the next month or so please contact Tony you won't be disappointed. Tony also arranged fitting of a new mirror on our vehicle. You won't meet a nicer host hope to be back next year to see the finished upgrades goodluck to Tony, Sharon and family please book places like this are hard to find these days Thanks Lee, fiona and Charlotte

The chalet itself is cozy with plenty space for weekend walking gear and amenities for cooking whatever you fancy! The hosts Sharon and Tony couldn't have been more helpful or friendly during our 3 night stay! Absolutely would return for more Island adventures and little bit of private seclusion far from anyone!

I couldn’t have made a better decision, from the moment... read more I first enquired to the minute we waved goodbye our hosts Tony & Sharron just couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect. Incredible communication, advice and suggestions, and the most delicious venison burgers & wild boar sausages (highly recommend ordering these)!
The chalet is the most beautiful, secluded corner of heaven I have ever stayed at, actually no words or photos will do justice to the utterly beautiful setting, I don’t think either of us have felt so relaxed, at peace and switched off in a very long time! The views are breath taking, the silence is indescribable and the location just unbeatable.
The chalet itself is kitted out with everything you might need including plenty of helpful and thoughtful extra touches as well, binoculars which were wonderful for hours of bird watching and seal spotting! They even put a few local beers in the fridge for the birthday boy, so unbelievably thoughtful! The hot tub was just incredible and sitting there looking out to sea at the end of the day was just magical.
I just cannot recommend this place enough, a real opportunity to switch off and reconnect with nature and yourself.
Huge thank you to our hosts and we will be back without a doubt! More

The Hosts were also amazing from start to finish, very welcoming and friendly.

  Stayed here for 3 nights and WOW what a place! I have travelled far and wide and words actually failed me when we pulled up to the long windy road... read more upto the wee lodge! Seafood to die for and all just a phone call away and delivered any time 24/7! Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for this family run oasis! Booked for 2 weeks as we left! WOW!

This was our second visit, and both times Tony and Sharon were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area.
Harris has so much to offer and we look forward to a return trip.
